COVID-19 Update As Of February 5th: 33,729 New Cases From 475,034 Specimen

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. Of the 475,034 specimens examined, 33,729 cases were added.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,480,423 people and active cases rose by 23,214 to 163,468 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, February 5.

Today's recovered cases increased by 10,471 cases, bringing the total to 4,172,458 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 44 people and a total of 144,497 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 12,774 cases and a total of 965,145 cases. Followed by West Java with 8,053 new cases with a total of 757,896 cases; Banten with 4,992 new cases and a total of 164,588 cases; and East Java recorded 2,154 new cases and a total of 409,431 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 7,965 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 1,044 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 418 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 245 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 74,114,653.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 8.32 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 21,404 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 186,388.071 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 130,784,199 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 5,434,731. There is also a target for vaccination in Indonesia as many as 208,265,720 people.
