IKN Development Doesn't Damage Nature In East Kalimantan?

PENAJAM - DPD RI member Badikenita BR Sitepu said the construction of the new State Capital (IKN) called Nusantara in parts of North Penajam Paser Regency and parts of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, will not damage nature.

"Based on the sketch, the building will follow the contours of the land, so that biodiversity is maintained and the development of the National Capital (IKN) does not damage nature," he said, who is also the Chair of the Law Drafting Committee for the Indonesian Regional Representative Council (PPUU DPD) in Penajam, Friday 4 February.

The delegation of PPUU DPD RI members conducted a survey at a number of strategic points for the development of a new IKN in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency.

Members of the PPUU DPD RI want to see firsthand the development of the new IKN, he explained, because the Draft Law on the National Capital City has become a definitive law.

Furthermore, waiting for the derivative of the IKN Law regulations to accommodate and budget for the new Indonesian IKN development.

"It is extraordinary how prepared North Penajam Paser Regency is, there is no longer any doubt regarding the construction of a new IKN," said Badikenita BR Sitepu.

The district government together with the community and the Acting Regent of North Penajam Paser Hamdam Pongrewa continue to provide the best support for the implementation of the new IKN development.

"This is where the construction of a new Indonesian IKN called Nusantara begins," he said.

A group of members of the PPUU DPD RI accompanied by the Acting Regent of North Penajam Paser Hamdam Pongrewa inspected a number of important points at the IKN location in Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency.

The locations reviewed include the national monument which is the zero point for the development of the new Indonesian IKN with the name Nusantara.

Then the state officials reviewed a number of locations that were used as other strategic points for the main development of the new Indonesian IKN in the Sepaku District area.
