JAKARTA - The Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor) judges named Agus Susetyo as a tax consultant who took the initiative to give bribes to the former Director of Audit and Collection at the Directorate General of Taxes, Angin Prayitno Aji and former Head of Sub-Directorate of Cooperation and Audit Support for DJP Dadan Ramdani. .

The indictment states that Angin Prayitno and Dadan Ramdani received bribes related to the 2016 and 2017 tax audits of PT Jhonlin Baratama.

Located at the Coffee Shop at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, Agus Susetyo told the tax audit team that the Underpaid Tax Assessment Letter (SKP) of PT Jhonlin Baratama was engineered and promised a "fee" of IDR 40 billion for tax inspectors and structural officials.

"At the trial it was proven that the desire for the 'fee' came from Agus Susetyo as stated at the Coffee Shop at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar. The panel of judges believed that giving bribes was the initiative of Agus Susetyo as a tax consultant with the intention of seeking personal gain of 500 thousand Singapore dollars or the equivalent of Rp5. billion," said judge Fazhal.

In this case, Angin Prayitno Aji was sentenced to 9 years in prison plus a fine of IDR 300 million subsidiary 2 months in prison while Dadan Ramdani was sentenced to 6 years in prison and a fine of IDR 300 million subsidiary 3 months in prison for accepting bribes of IDR 3.375 billion and 1,095,000 respectively. Singapore dollars or around Rp. 14,628 billion from three taxpayers.

Both of them are also required to pay compensation in the amount of IDR 3.375 billion and 1.095 million Singapore dollars respectively, which is calculated using the 2019 Bank Indonesia Singapore dollar middle exchange rate of IDR 10,227 per Singapore dollar no later than 1 month after the decision is final and binding and if the decision is final and binding. If you don't get paid, you will be imprisoned for 2 years.

The judge said that Angin Prayitno made a policy to request a "fee" from taxpayers with the distribution of 50 percent for structural officials, namely Angin Prayitno and Dadan Ramdani, while 50 percent for the quota for the audit team consisting of Wawan Ridwan, Alfred Simanjuntak, Yulmanizar and Febrian.

The receipt of the bribe came from the first, amounting to 750 thousand Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp. 7.5 billion from two tax consultants at PT Gunung Madu Plantations, namely Aulia Imran Magribi and Ryan Ahmad Ronas related to the tax audit of PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) for the 2016 fiscal year.

The bribe was divided into two, namely Rp. 3.375 billion for Angin and Dadan, while Rp. 3.375 billion was divided equally for the inspection team, namely Wawan Ridwan, Alfred Simmanjuntak, Yulmanizar and Febrian.

Second, a bribe of 500 thousand Singapore dollars or the equivalent of Rp5 billion from the attorney of Bank Pan Indonesia (Panin) Veronika Lindawati related to the tax audit of PT Bank Pan Indonesia, Tbk (Bank Panin) for the 2016 fiscal year.

The three bribes amounted to 3.5 million Singapore dollars or the equivalent of IDR 35 billion from tax consultant PT Jhonlin Baratama Agus Susetyo worth related to the examination of PT Jhonlin Baratama (JB) for the 2016 and 2017 fiscal years.

Of the 3.5 million Singapore dollars, Angin and Dadan received 1.75 million Singapore dollars, which was then divided into two so that each received 875 thousand Singapore dollars or 8.75 billion Singapore dollars while the rest was received by the examiner team, namely Wawan Ridwan, Alfred Simanjuntak, Yulmanizar and Febrian each amounted to 437,500 Singapore dollars.

Meanwhile, Agus Susetyo as a tax consultant and Jhonlin Baratama's representative also received 500 thousand Singapore dollars or the equivalent of IDR 5 billion.

Regarding the verdict, Angin and Dadan said they would think about it for 7 days while the KPK prosecutor was also thinking about it.
