The Case Of Teachers In Bandung Performing Immoral Actions To 6 Children With Music Lesson Mode, Bandung Regency Government Gives Trauma Healing

BANDUNG - The Bandung Regency Government (Pemkab) recorded that six children were victims of immoral acts by an unscrupulous music tutor with the initials AR (58) in Arjasari District, Bandung Regency, West Java.

The Regent of Bandung, Dadang Supriatna, said he was concerned about this dishonorable act. Moreover, the six immoral victims were children with an age range of five to seven years.

"The Bandung Regency Government has also provided assistance to victims, including advocacy, consultation and trauma healing by involving psychologists," said Dadang, in Bandung, Antara, Wednesday, February 2.

The act of obscenity against AR was allegedly carried out with the mode of teaching musical instruments. He confirmed the immoral perpetrator has now been handled by the police. "Currently, the suspect has been detained by the authorities," said Dadang.

In order to prevent similar incidents, Dadang appealed to parents to take part in supervising their children and provide insight to prevent immoral acts.

“Usually, sexual violence against children is carried out by those closest to them. Therefore, parents should be more strict in monitoring their children," he said.

The Head of the Bandung Regency Population Control, Family Planning, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency, Muhammad Hairun, confirmed that his party had provided assistance to the victims.

Based on the results of the assessment, Hairun said the victims and their families were still in a traumatized state. Furthermore, he said his party would conduct a counseling session for the victim.

"We have also coordinated with the sub-district, village, local RT and RW to support strengthening families, especially the victims," said Hairun.
