"As for the information from the owner, it's a basic food warehouse. But we're still investigating whether there are indicators that it's a hoarder of (fry) oil, we don't know yet," said Kompol Jupriono when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, February 2, afternoon.

After extinguishing the fire, yellow police lines have also been installed to facilitate the investigation process.

"We have checked the crime scene this morning, continued the police line (police line-red) and carried out an investigation," he said.

Meanwhile, in order to find out the cause of the fire, the Sector Police Chief said that he would involve the National Police Headquarters Center for Laboratory. Meanwhile, to determine whether the warehouse was used as a place to store cooking oil, the police will conduct an investigation.

"The main thing is related to the cause of the fire, so we will invite it from the puslabfor," he said.

Two of the witnesses examined were the owner of a basic food warehouse.

"The (owners) must be investigated. Two witnesses are being questioned. The location is a grocery store. The cause (of the fire) is not yet known. We are still waiting for Puslabfor," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an uninhabited house that was used as a cooking oil warehouse in RW 02, Kelapa Dua Wetan Village, Ciracas District, East Jakarta was engulfed in flames on Wednesday, February 2, early in the morning. The fire continues to burn bigger because the material at the location of the object is flammable.

"The house belongs to Solihin. It is suspected that the cause was an electric short circuit," said Head of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Sudin Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman.

Gatot said that his party received a fire report at 00:41 WIB. That night, a reporter from a resident came to the fire department to inform them that there was a fire at the contact point near the Amalia Mosque, RT 07/02, Kelapa Dua Wetan Village, Ciracas. Namely a house that is used as a storehouse of cooking oil.

"Residents saw smoke and fire from inside the house on the 1st floor, then immediately reported it to the nearest fire station (pusdiklat post)," he said.
