Jokowi Asks For Quarantine Game To Be Completely Investigated, Police Do This

JAKARTA - The National Police said they would take firm action against anyone involved in a series of quarantine violations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The statement answered a request from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, to thoroughly investigate the quarantine game. Because, there have been complaints from foreigners regarding the quarantine process. Responding to Jokowi's statement, the National Police immediately moved to follow up

"The National Police will step in with relevant stakeholders and will take firm action against anyone proven to have violated the quarantine," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo when confirmed, Tuesday, February 1.

Not only that, the National Police will also tighten supervision at international entrances. Thus, all activities will be monitored.

In fact, surveillance will also take advantage of the Precision Quarantine application. Where, all people who have to undergo quarantine are well recorded.

"Yes (tightening, ed) together with the (COVID-19) task force and monitoring using the Precision Quarantine application," said Dedi.

Previously in a limited meeting evaluating the virtual implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) from Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman International Airport, Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan, on Monday, January 31, Jokowi conveyed several things.

"I ask for discipline in tightening at entrances and implementing the correct quarantine process from abroad," he said when opening a limited meeting.

"I am still hearing this and I ask the National Police Chief to thoroughly investigate the game that is in quarantine. Yes, because I have heard from several foreigners complaining to me about this," said Jokowi.
