COVID-19 Update As Of January 31: Up Again, Daily Cases Increase By 10,185

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 316,050 specimens were examined with the results of 10,185 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,353,360 and active cases have increased by 6,878 to 68,696 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, January 31.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,290 cases, bringing the total to 4,140,454 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 17 people and the total was 144,320 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 5,268 cases and a total of 913,352 cases. Followed by West Java with 2,086 new cases with a total of 726,857 cases. Banten has 1,569 new cases and a total of 146,000 cases. Then, Bali with 294 new cases and a total of 116,500 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today is DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,678 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 557 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 476 recovered cases. And East Java with an additional 246 cases recovered

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 71,953,778.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.12 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 8,675 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 184,680,997 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 128,028,074 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination is 4,221,642. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
