KPK Confiscates IDR 2.1 Billion From A Search On The Case Of The Langkat Regent, Publishing A War Plan For Wind

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished counting the money found when searching a number of locations related to the alleged bribery in infrastructure procurement that ensnared the inactive Langkat Regent.

"So far, according to preliminary calculations, it is around Rp. 2.1 billion," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters on Monday, January 31.

Ali said the money was found in a number of locations that investigators searched some time ago. It is suspected that the money was part of the receipt of bribes by Published directly or through the intermediary of other parties.

"It is suspected that the Rp2.1 billion was part of the receipt of bribes received by the TRP suspect, either directly or through the intermediary of a trusted person," he said.

Furthermore, the KPK will explore the flow of the money. The investigation will be carried out by examining the witnesses presented.

"Currently, the investigative team will investigate the alleged flow of money received by the TRP suspect by scheduling the examination of witnesses," said Ali. Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named the Regent of Langkat Published a Warringin Plan as a suspect in bribery related to an infrastructure project.
