Police Investigate Facts Of Extortionist Mode Of Hit-and-Run Victim, Get Treatment At RSKO

JAKARTA - The Head of Pasar Rebo Police, Kompol Martson Marbun, said that the suspect in extortion of a car driver with a limp mode on Jalan TB Simatupang, East Jakarta, was a former heroin or putau user since the 2000s.

"Not a recidivist, only in 2000, he was an active putau user. After that he went to rehab. After rehabilitation, he routinely bought drugs from the Drug Addiction Hospital," said Kompol Marbun when confirmed by VOI, Monday, January 31.

The police chief confirmed that the suspect AF was only in the TL (traffic light) area of Pasar Rebo at the time of the incident. The suspect AF is a resident of Pancoran Mas, Depok.

"From the RSKO hospital (the suspect) went to the TKP (TL Pasar Rebo). It was the intention to extort him with his feet," he said.

Until now, investigators from the Pasar Rebo Police are still investigating how long AF has been a drug dependent patient at the RSKO.

"Later we will explore how long he was a patient there (RSKO)," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the presence of the suspect AF in the Pasar Rebo TL area, the Sector Police Chief said that AF was not often at that location.

"It was only then that he (hanging out at TL Pasar Rebo), maybe he needed money. He made such a scenario to blackmail him there," he said.

The confiscated evidence included one blocky bag, one black t-shirt, and one blue pants, all of which were worn when AF launched his action.

"The articles that we use are Article 368 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 318 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 9 years and also 4 years so there is slander and extortion," he said.
