General Andika Perkasa Gives Promotion To 3 TNI Members Killed In Gome District

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa and Kasad general TNI Dudung Abdurachman provide assistance to the family of the late Praka Rahman Tomilawa, a member of Battalion 408 Raider/Suhbrastha who died in a gun battle in Gome District, Puncak Regency, Papua, on Thursday, January 27, morning.

This was conveyed by Kapendam XVI/Pattimura Lt. Col. Arh. Adi Prayogo on the sidelines of the funeral ceremony for Praka Posthumous Rahman Tomilawa (24), at Tulehu State TPU, Ambon Island, Central Maluku Regency, Saturday, January 29, evening.

Adi Prayogo also said that the three members of Battalion Raider 408/Suhbrastha who died were also given a promotion to a higher level by the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa.

"The three members who died in Papua have been given an award in the form of a promotion to a higher level," explained Kapendam XVI/Pattimura Lt. Col. Arh. Adi Prayogo, citing Antara, Saturday 29 January.

Kapendam representing Pangdam XVI/Pattimura Maj. Gen. Richard TH. Tampubolon stated that his third promotion was based on the TNI Commander's Letter Number 81 regarding extraordinary promotions for military operations other than war or posthumously dated January 27, 2022.

"So this promotion to a higher level is given for the services and dedication they have given so far to the nation and state," he said.

The decision made the rank of the late Rahman Tomilawa (24) who was previously a Pratu be promoted to Praka Posthumously. As soon as two other members died in the incident, namely Sergeant Rizal Maulana Arifin, who became Sergeant Posthumously and Prada Tupel Alomoan Baraza became Private Private.
