Bareskrim Polri Schedules Edy Mulyadi's Examination Next Week, Will Bring It By Force If Not Present

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has sent a second summons to Edy Mulyadi in the case of alleged hate speech regarding Kalimantan where the genie dumped his child. Edy Mulyadi is scheduled to undergo an examination early next week.

"Investigators issued a second summons and accompanied by a warrant to be present on Monday, January 31, 2022," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Friday, January 28.

In the examination schedule, Edy Mulyadi will be questioned as a witness at 10.00 WIB.

In addition, Ramadhan also stated that the summons for the examination had been received. The letter was received by the wife of Edy Mulyadi.

"So earlier the summons was delivered directly to the house and the wife who received it," said Ramadhan.

Edy Mulyadi was not present at the summons for questioning on Friday, January 28, because the summons attorney did not comply with the Criminal Procedure Code. Lawyers also requested that the Press Law be enacted because Edy Mulyadi is said to be speaking on behalf of a senior journalist.

Edy Mulyadi is suspected of insulting all Kalimantan residents because of his statement about the 'place for the genie to dump children'.
