BANYUWANGI - A grade X student at one of the shipping vocational schools in Banyuwangi, East Java, was injured and traumatized because he was allegedly mistreated by a senior at school.

"There were threats being made, so I didn't feel comfortable going back to school," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Banyuwangi Women and Children's Quick Response Team (TRC PPA), Veri Kurniawan, said that the school's abuse had violated the rules. Actions of seniority, in the form of hazing with physical violence should not occur.

"We have asked the victim to report to the Banyuwangi Police," he said.
