Across Events: Elementary School Students Bring Sajam To Brawl, Until The Murderers Are Battered In Cakung

JAKARTA - The Ciracas Police have arrested seven elementary school students who were involved in a brawl on Jalan Taruna Jaya, Cibubur Village, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, January 26, yesterday.

"We haven't had a chance to get into a brawl yet. The residents have just secured the gathering and then handed it over to the Ciracas Police," said Ciracas Police Chief Kompol Jupriono when confirmed by reporters, Thursday, January 27.

When secured, one student who was registered as a 6th grade elementary school student carried a sharp weapon (sajam).

Kompol Jupriono said the seven elementary school students only joined in because they saw junior high school students who were about to get into a brawl. In fact, he continued, the students did not know what caused the brawl to occur.

"It's not clear that there are people who come like that," he said.

Even so, his party will develop this case by digging up information from seven elementary school students who were secured.

In addition, the Ciracas Police will summon the parents of each child, and the local RT/RW administrator for the coaching process so that these students do not repeat their actions.

"Today, we will first call their parents and the local environmental management to come to the police station so that they can be trained," he said.

In order to prevent similar actions, he continued, his staff will increase patrols in vulnerable locations and coordinate with RT/RW administrators and environmental leaders.

The Ciracas Police also coordinate with the school to provide guidance so that when students return home from school, students go straight home, not hanging out.

"To anticipate brawls, we are working with RT/RW administrators and religious leaders to provide guidance to the youth. This is an effort that we are doing in addition to increasing patrols," he said.

Meanwhile in Tambora, West Jakarta. A number of students were running on public roads, carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle. The actions of the students who were still wearing school uniforms were caught on CCTV cameras, Wednesday, January 26.

According to information compiled, the incident occurred on Jalan Jembatan Besi II, in front of the Jembatan Besi Health Center, Tambora, West Jakarta. Tambora Police Chief Kompol Faruk Rozi confirmed the incident.

"It didn't lead to a brawl, they planned to have a brawl but the local residents, police and Babinsa prevented it," said Kompol Faruk when contacted by VOI, Thursday, January 27.

The police chief said that the students caught on camera ran because they wanted to fight. "They are students from the Perti Vocational School in Tomang and Betrix Vocational School in Jelambar. All of them (the school's presence) are in the Tanjung Duren location, only they come to the flats ( Flats) want to fight in the Tambora area," he said.

Luckily, with the alertness of the residents and local officials, the students were dispelled so that there was no brawl.

"Starting from (the day of) the incident until now, the location in the flats is guarded by members to anticipate," said the police chief.

Youth in Cakung Battered, After Failing to Steal a Motorcycle

The theft of motorbikes has occurred again in Cakung, East Jakarta. This time the perpetrator failed to carry out his action, so that his face was beaten badly by the masses.

Cakung Police Chief Kompol Satria Darma said the incident occurred on Wednesday, January 26 at around 18.10 WIB in Pulo Jahe Village, RT 06/14, Jatinegara Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

"It is true that there has been an attempted criminal act of stealing a Honda Beat Street motorcycle, white color, which was carried out by the suspect K alias N and his friend named S," said Satria to reporters, Thursday, January 27.

The police chief explained that suspect K and his colleague S rode a motorbike and then searched for the victim's target by walking around the residential area.

Then, the perpetrator who saw the victim's motorbike parked in front of the house located in Pulo Jahe Village immediately approached the motorbike to steal it.

"Then the perpetrator K alias N, got off the motorbike, and approached the victim's motorbike, then unlocked the motorcycle handlebars using the letter L key," said Satria.

After successfully destroying the keyhole of the victim's motorbike, the perpetrator started the engine and tried to run away. However, his actions are known by residents around the location. Unable to escape from the crowd, the perpetrator was caught and beaten by the residents.

"Until finally the two perpetrators were arrested, along with the evidence for the key letter L, and the keys, as well as a Honda brand ignition key, which were fake," he said.

After being arrested by the residents, the two perpetrators were handed over to the Cakung Police for legal processing. For their actions, K and S were subject to Article 363 in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
