JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD officials visited the City of Diriyah, Saudi Arabia to conduct a comparative study on the implementation of Formula E.

Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gilbert Simanjuntak, considers Jakpro's actions excessive and a waste of expenses for the regional company owned by DKI.

"No need to overdo it, come there (Diriyah). It gives the impression that they are not serious in planning the Formula E event and are just wasting money," Gilbert told VOI, Friday, January 28.

Although this comparative study activity uses Jakpro's own company funds, Gilbert emphasized that Jakpro indirectly uses the regional capital investment (PMD) budget through the APBD.

"Jakpro money is also government money through PMD. Is Jakpro the company of their ancestors?" said Gilbert.

Gilbert thinks that if you only want to know about the preparation for the event, pre-event, ticket prices, and the mechanics of the Formula E marshall, Jakpro can ask for an official explanation via the online platform to the organizers at Diriyah.

"If it's just a matter of tickets and others, you don't need to go there. The track (circuit-ed) hasn't been finished yet, why have you taken care of ticket prices? Send a letter to the Formula E organizer there by email, or ask for a video of the implementation, it will be answered later , said Gilbert.

Previously, the President Director of PT Jakpro Widi Amansto said that his party together with the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) as the organizer and the Formula E executive committee were visiting the City of Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Given, Diriyah is the city that held the first Formula E in the eighth season this year. The city will hold an electric car race on Friday, January 28 and Saturday, January 29.

"There are several people from Jakpro who have a comparative study with Diriyah. There is also IMI. The committee is there to see the implementation of Formula E," said Widi when contacted, Thursday, January 27.

Widi explained that the Formula E executive committee will study various things, starting from how to prepare, pre-event, to the handling of the marshall when the race is held.

"When the implementation is done, we can see how the committee organizes activities, how we can be hands on with this. Later there will also be a meeting with Formula E Operation there," said Widi.

Furthermore, Widi said that his party would also adapt the ticket sales model for organizing Formula E in Diriyah.

It is known, Formula E tickets at Diriyah are sold with a price range ranging from Rp. 570 thousand to Rp. 77 million. However, said Widi, Jakarta will not sell tickets at the same price.

"The standardization of tickets is certainly different. It's luxurious there. Saudi Arabia is very serious. The regional government is very supportive. If we look at their standards, we adapt them to their limitations," he explained.
