JAKARTA - Former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo is still protesting about the name Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok who was appointed as one of the candidates for the head of authority in the new State Capital (IKN).

Roy Suryo's protest was written through his personal Twitter account @KRMTRoySuryo2 as seen on Thursday, January 27 evening.

In his tweet, the former Democratic politician also included a collection of reports from online media about Ahok. One of the articles talks about the PDI-P's full support for Ahok.

"TERWELU ... (read: Too). This is the most appropriate word to say for the Biggest Party which has millions of potential best male cadres," tweeted Roy Suryo.

According to him, there are still many candidates or the best sons and daughters in Indonesia who deserve this position than Ahok. After all, Ahok was once stumbled into a blasphemy case.

"How come you can only nominate ex-convicts, religious blasphemers... How come you can only aHoaX among 274 million people? AMBYAR," protested Roy Suryo. This is not the first time Roy Suro has made a protest about Ahok. Several times Roy has written tweets with similar content. For example, on January 18, when the debate over the name Nusantara was chosen by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for the name IKN.

Roy once wrote, "Many people are (made) lulled by the word Nusantara as the name of the IKN candidate. If I focus more on who the Head of Government will appoint."

"Yesterday, the ex-convict was widely mentioned again? Isn't there anyone else from the 274 million people? Will Kominfo rectify (again)?" quipped Roy.

Ahok's support as the Head of the IKN Authority came from PDIP. PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto assessed that Ahok was suitable for this position because he had a number of criteria. When leading DKI Jakarta as both governor and deputy, Hasto considered Ahok to be successful.

"We will leave it to President Jokowi to decide who will be decided, only that PDIP has the names of candidates who meet the requirements for it, including Mr. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama," said Hasto.
