Komang Film Review: Celebrating The Stomach With An Romance And Eye Soaring Story With Beautiful Visuals

JAKARTA - The production house Starvision will soon release their latest drama film, Komang, which is based on the true journey of stand-up comedy and musicians Raim Laode and Komang.

This film itself was played by Kiesha Alvaro as Raim Laode and Aurora Ribero as Komang.

From the start, director Naya Anindita succeeded in presenting beautiful visuals, with cinematography that spoils the eyes. Each scene feels so alive, especially when it features an exotic Balinese landscape and a strong local atmosphere.

One of the main powers of this film is the use of a Balinese accent that sounds natural. Dialogue feels artificially flowing, so that viewers can really feel the culture and everyday life there.

Ayu Laksmi's presence further adds to the strong aura of Bali in this film with her acting.

Entering the story, writer totaling Afnilia can choose the phase of Raim and Komang's love journey properly so that the story is not long-winded.

This was then conveyed well by the chemistry between Kiesha and Aurora into its own attraction. Their interaction felt natural, full of emotion, and made the audience feel every moment of their closeness. The romantic scenes also succeeded in making them excited without looking too much.

Kiesha's own acting must be followed by a thumbs up. As the main character that supports the success of this story, Kiesha can be considered quite successful in bringing Raim's character which can make the audience see how much he loves and struggles to get the figure of Komang.

On the other hand, the comedy elements played by Arie Kriting in this film also feel right. Not forced, but present naturally through dialogue and a relatable situation. The humor presented is able to make the audience laugh without reducing the essence of the story.

Overall, this film has a light story but still hits the heart. The meaning of the song created by Raim Laode entitled Komang which tells about his love for Komang is increasingly reflected in and makes the audience aware of the meaning of the song.

Not to mention, many moments feel related to real life, one of which is about cultural and religious tolerance which is packaged in a love story so that the audience can get carried away by feelings. This is not just an ordinary romantic film, but also a heartwarming story.
