Cartenz Candle Operation Personnel Secure Nataru Celebration In Jayapura

JAKARTA - Papuan Police personnel who are members of the Cartenz Candle Operation, Sunday (29/12), carry out patrols to a number of vital objects and crowded places in order to create conditions after Christmas celebrations, and ahead of the 2025 New Year.

The patrol carried out by the field work unit team aims to provide a sense of comfort and security in the people of Jayapura City, including when recreation on tourist attractions in Jayapura City.

AKP Lamasi on the sidelines of the patrol he leads, Sunday, in Jayapura, said patrol activities were carried out using operational vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles with the Cendrawasih Sports Hall route, Hamadi Beach T-junction, Enggros Beach, Tanah Hitam, Abepura Integrated Command Post, PJR Virhara Skyland Post, Polimak and return again to Cendrawasih Sports Hall.

The security situation in these various areas seems safe and under control, people are doing normal activities, including residents who are creative with their families.

"We urge people to always be vigilant and continue to monitor family members to avoid unwanted things from happening," said AKP Lamasi, who works at the Papua Police Traffic Directorate, quoted by Antara.

The Papuan Police deployed 250 personnel in the Cartenz Candle Operation which was held from December 21, 2024 to January 2, 2025.
