The Indonesian National Team Needs A Sticker Figure, Ezra Walian Is Ready To Receive Shin Tae-yong's Call
JAKARTA - Persik Kediri player, Ezra Walian openly admitted that he was open to receiving calls from the Indonesian national team. This follows the situation of the national team which is said to need a qualified striker figure.
Ezra Walian himself has ambitions to return to defend the Indonesian national team after being absent for three years. He last appeared to defend the Garuda Squad in the 2020 AFF Cup which took place last December 2021.
Since then the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae Yong has never summoned him again. Although so far he is still being left out of other players, Ezra Walian is trying his best to bring the country's name on the international stage and does not want to lose his determination to return to the Indonesian national team.
"In my opinion, we can't lose our dreams and I'm trying to do everything that might get me called back (to the Indonesian national team)," said Ezra Walian, quoted from Youtube Transfermarkt, Wednesday, December 25.
From his debut record in 2017, Ezra has appeared in nine matches with the Indonesian national team with three goals. He also briefly defended the U-23 Indonesian national team at the 2017 SEA Games.

I have to show it with my feet, not with words or others. I just need to show it with my feet. If I do, in the end, I might be called the Indonesian national team," said Ezra.
"So I'll try everything I can. Yes, of course, I'm always ready and I think I've always been 'if you call me to the Indonesian national team, I'll always be there'. I'm always proud to wear the national team jersey (Indonesia)," he said.
Although recently it was not an option in the Garuda Squad, Ezra Walian was one of Persik Kediri's mainstay players in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season.
