Christmas Holidays, More Than 10 Thousand Residents Visit Monas

JAKARTA - The National Monument (Monas) Regional Management Unit (UPK) noted that more than 10 thousand residents visited Monas during the 2024 Christmas holiday on December 25.

Head of UPK Monas Isa Sanuri said that the Monas area had been visited by the public for a recreation since 08.00 WIB.

"The number of visits to the Monas area today is 08.00 to 14.00 WIB as many as 10,777 people," Isa told reporters, Wednesday, December 25.

Of the people who visited the Monas area until 14.00 WIB, 7,482 of them were adults, and 3,181 children.

There were also 114 foreign tourists from various countries, ranging from China, South Korea, Germany, England, India, France, Malaysia, Thailand, the United States, Sweden, Turkey, Denmark, to Japan.

Some domestic and foreign tourists visit Monas for a picnic and see tourist attractions inside the Monas Monument. There are also residents who are still waiting until the evening to be able to see other shows.

On December 25 to 31, 2024, Monas served a dancing fountain combined with lights and accompanying music. The water dance at Monas took place on the west side of Monas at 19.30-20.30 WIB.

Then, there is a video mapping with the theme of Christmas and Jakarta City on December 25 to 27, 2024 on the south side of Monas. This show is divided into two sessions, at 20.00-20.30 WIB and at 21.00-21.30 WIB.
