Herry IP Gets An Offer To Train Malaysia After Leaving The PBSI National Training Center
JAKARTA Herry Iman Pierngadi, who recently left the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center, confirmed that he had received an offer to train Malaysia.
In the New Straits Times report, the coach known as Naga Api admitted that he had been contacted by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
The 62-year-old coach said he was very open to considering the position offered if the deal was in line.
"Yes, they have contacted me. If it is suitable for me and I accept an official offer then there is a possibility (coaching Malaysia)," he said.
BAM is currently still actively looking for a replacement for Tan Bin Shen, who will step down as national men's doubles head coach on January 13, 2025 and join Hong Kong.

During his time as a coach, Herry was noted to have succeeded in guiding several Indonesian men's doubles pairs to win world titles and the Olympics.
His students include Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya and Hendra Setiawan/Markis Kido. These two pairs are Olympic gold medalists.
In addition, he also guided Hendra with Mohammad Ahsan, the pair who won various world titles and the All England crown.
Another pair who were successful under Herry IP's cold hands were Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo. They are the world's former world number one pair and the All England title winner.
Apart from Malaysia, China is also reportedly interested in using the services of Herry IP.
Other candidates reportedly competing to fill the position of Malaysia's men's doubles coach are Mathias Boe from Denmark and Flandy Limpele from Indonesia.
