Riau-West Sumatra Route Km 90 Kampar Ambles, Drivers Asked To Use Toll Roads

PEKANBARU - Head of Riau National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) Yohanes Tulak Todingrara said the Riau-West Sumatra Cross Road at Km 90 in Tanjung Alai Village, XVIII District, Koto Kampar, collapsed about two to three meters.

"The subsidence location is before the XIII Koto Kampar Toll Gate when crossing from the direction of Bangkinang City. For road users who want to go to West Sumatra, they should use the toll road as an option road," said Yohanes Tulak as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 24.

According to him, high rainfall can cause landslides and subsidence roads, so the people of Riau are asked to be more careful to continue their journey to West Sumatra or return to Pekanbaru.

The police mobilized the material to the subsidence road location and immediately repaired it. However, the current road conditions must be opened and closed so that vehicles can be crossed.

"It is better to use the XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road, to avoid long queues due to opening and closing the road, because it has an impact on severe traffic jams," he said.
