Gold Shop Robber In Banyumas Ditangkap, His Leg Injured Beaten By Mass

BANYUMAS - Banyumas Police revealed a case of robbery of a gold shop located in Kemukusan Market, Ciberem Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

"The case of violent theft (robber, ed.) was carried out by the perpetrator with the initials AYS (37), a resident of Kedungrandu, Banyumas Regency, who was arrested by the Banyumas Police Satreskrim Resmob Team at a boarding house in Surabaya on Sunday (22/12)," said Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Ari Wibowo as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 24.

When arrested, the perpetrator was injured in the leg as a result of being hit by a hard object thrown by residents when AYS fled after carrying out a robbery at the gold shop on Thursday (19/12) afternoon.

During the arrest, the Resmob Team found evidence in the form of a number of gold necklaces from the robbery so that the perpetrators could not escape.

In addition to the 15 gold necklace strands, the Resmob Team also managed to secure a number of other evidences such as an airgun along with a sewer bullet box, a motorcycle used by the perpetrators when robbing, and a cellphone.

Based on the results of the examination, the perpetrator carried out the robbery because he needed capital to get married, while the motorbike used when it belonged to someone who was loaned to AYS' lover.

"In this regard, AYS is subject to Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 9 years in prison," said the Police Chief.

The case of a gold shop robbery at the Kemukusan Market complex, Ciberem Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas, occurred on Thursday (19/12), at 12.00 WIB.

The perpetrator is known to have come from the north and had time to go east, then came back again and stopped at the gold shop to pretend to buy gold.

In fact, the perpetrator fired a shot but did not hit the shopkeeper or the community at the scene.

The perpetrator, who managed to carry 26 gold necklaces weighing 279.720 grams or Rp. 153,846,000, immediately fled on a dirt bike.
