Response To Determination Of Hasto Suspect Of KPK, Guntur Romli: PDIP Is Getting Pressured, Getting Against

PDI-P spokesman Mohamad Guntur Romli confirmed that until now his party had not received official information regarding the appointment of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect by the KPK.

If the information is correct, according to him, the bad news is nothing more than an attempt to criminalize and politicize the law. As well as efforts to silence and sinking PDIP whose information has long been heard internally by the party.

"That there was an attempt to take over the PDI-P, when there was a threat of sprindik to several party chairmen, then surrendered. Only PDIP did not give up because it maintained democracy in this country," Guntur Romli told reporters, Tuesday, December 24.

"So various pressures including the threat of imprisonment for PDI-P cadres are actually energy for larger ideals," he continued.

Guntur saw that the legal politicization of Hasto and PDIP was very strong. "The proof that the suspects in the CSR BI case alone as many as 2 people can be corrected. So the message, the PDI-P is increasingly suppressed against it," said Guntur Romli.

According to Romli, legal logic makes the Secretary General of PDIP a suspect in the Harun Masiku case, which almost 5 years ago, also makes no sense. Because he should, he said, Harun Masiku was the one being hunted and arrested, because he was said to have given bribes.

"Moreover, the bribe recipients have also received their sentences and have even been released for a long time," he said.

Guntur was surprised that the KPK failed to hunt down Harun Masiku but instead arrested Hasto. Moreover, it is believed that Hasto was not involved in the bribery case to change PAW by Harun.

"Harun Masiku failed to be arrested, why was the Secretary General of the PDI-P targeted 5 years later?", he said.

"Even though there is no role or involvement of the Secretary General of the PDI-P at all in this case," continued Guntur.

Therefore, Guntur considered that the association of the PDIP Secretary General in this case was an attempt to politicize legal cases to attack the party and silence critical cadres. Because the KPK failed to arrest Harun Masiku, but criminalized the PDI-P Secretary General.

"Why is this information still based on the leak 'source' not officially announced by the KPK? What is wrong with the KPK Not to mention that the KPK has corrected the suspect in the CSR case in BI even though there has been a search, what happened at the KPK ?," he said.

"Obviously this case is politicization, criminalization and silencing. However, the PDI-P is increasingly being pressured, increasingly fighting back," concluded Guntur Romli.
