Blake Lively Sues Justin Baldoni For Alleged Sexual Harassment
JAKARTA - Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against his former co-star, Justin Baldoni on suspicion of sexual harassment during the shooting process for the film It Ends With Us.
Quoted by VOI from the Page Six page on Monday, December 23, 2024, this lawsuit emerged several months after rumors of a conflict on set that previously disrupted the release of the film adapted from the best-selling novel by Colleen totaling.
From the document obtained by Page Six, Lively discusses Baldoni's bad behavior, who is also the director of the film. In the document, Baldoni showed a naked video or a female vulgar image to Lively.
In addition, Baldoni also discussed his addiction to pornography and shared his sexual experiences in the past. Ryan Reynolds, Lively's husband, was also reported to have attended the meeting.
Baldoni was also accused of making inappropriate comments about the player and crew of the film. Baldoni commented on the genitals to discuss Lively's body weight and mentioned his dead father.
In addition, he asked to add sex scenes, orals, or climaxs that were not in accordance with the original film script.
Even so, during the shooting process they collaborated with the intimate coordinator (coordinator of intimacy). Baldoni once mentioned that the existence of this coordinator is very important to ensure everyone feels safe and the resulting scenes are of higher quality.
Lively also accused Baldoni of using social manipulation to damage his reputation. In the complaint, Lively included a text message from the Baldoni publicization to representatives of Wayfarer Studio who allegedly stated that Baldoni wanted to "cover up" Lively's reputation.
Lively also claimed that the Baldoni team used contractors to spread fake content on social media. This makes the media create negative public opinion on him.
Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios' lawyer, Bryan Freedman, firmly denied Lively's allegations.
"A claim that is completely false, unreasonable, and deliberately made to defame," said Freedman.
He also accused Lively of threatening not to be on set and refusing to promote the film if its demands were not met, which ultimately resulted in the release of the film.
Freedman alleges that this complaint is Lively's desperate attempt to improve his negative reputation that emerged from his own statements and actions during film promotions. He also denied that the Baldoni team had embedded negative stories about Lively in the media.
However, Lively emphasized that his legal steps were aimed at revealing detrimental retaliatory tactics and protecting those who dared to talk about violations. He also denied allegations that his team had embedded negative stories about Baldoni or Wayfarer Studios.
"I hope my legal action can open the veil over this evil retaliatory tactic and protect those who may be targeted." Lively told the New York Times.
