Toyota Alphard And Vellfire Are Now Present In The PHEV Variant, What's The Advantage?
JAKARTA - Toyota Alphard and Vellfire's newest generation launched globally last June by presenting significant changes ranging from the outside to the inside.
These two luxury MPVs are also part of Toyota's electrification vehicle line which is in line with the company's vision of implementing a multi-path' strategy. Now, the manufacturer is expanding it by presenting a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) version in Japan.
Launching from Toyota's official website, Monday, December 23, this PHEV model offers driving silence so that drivers and passengers feel different comfort.
Because it carries PHEV technology, these two cars have driving modes just like the pure Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for daily travel. By utilizing a large capacity lithium-ion battery, both Alphard and Vellfire have the ability to run with pure power up to 73 km in one full charge.
The battery can be charged up to 38 percent from 0 to 80 percent using the standard 200V charging cable.
The battery technology is combined with a 2.5 liter PHEV Parallel Series measuring 306 ps combined with an Electric Continuous Variable Transmission (E-CVT) transmission with an E-Four drive developed by Toyota.
