KPK Investigate Allegations Of Corruption At PTPP, 2 People Become Suspects
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of corruption in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PTPP). This step is based on an investigation warrant (sprindik) issued on Monday, December 9.
"The KPK has started an investigation into the case as above and has named two people as suspects," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 20.
Tessa said the investigation process was still ongoing. The suspect in this case cannot be conveyed.
However, a request for prevention to the Directorate General of Immigration for the two people has been made. "This decision applies for six months," he said.
This prevention is expected to facilitate the investigation process. So, when both of them were summoned, their whereabouts were known to be in Indonesia.
The corruption case at PTPP is said to be related to Article 2 or 3. The actions of the suspects are said to be detrimental to the state.
"The results of the provisional calculation of temporary state losses in this case amounted to approximately Rp. 80 billion," concluded Tessa.
