Program Gerakan Orang Asuh, Langkah Kemenduk Bangga/BKKBN Untuk Cegah Stunting Di Indonesia
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Population and Family Development/National Population and Family Planning Agency (Kemenduk bangga/BKKBN) revealed steps to prevent stunting cases in Indonesia.
Stunting has long been one of the crucial health issues in Indonesia. As a problem that has an impact on the future of the nation's generation, the government continues to seek solutions that involve various parties.
One program introduced was "Parents Prevent Stunting", which emphasizes community collaboration and related stakeholders in stunting prevention.
This was revealed by the Minister of Population and Family Development as well as the Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency, Wihaji while attending the rebranding event for the change of the BKKBN nomenclature.
"Of course, the issue of stunting is an old issue and is one of the government's programs to be resolved," said Wihaji, when met at the BKKBN office, East Jakarta on Friday, December 20, 2024.
"But not all countries have to attend. Therefore, we involve the surrounding community, in this case, we have a Foster Parents Program to Prevent Stunting," he continued.
Wihaji emphasized that this program will not burden the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) significantly. On the other hand, the approach used is Pentahelix's modern state theory, which involves five main elements, namely government, academics, business actors, communities, and the media.
"God willing, this will not interfere with the state budget, but also involve relevant stakeholders, in this case we use the modern state theory, Pentahelix," said Wihaji.
With this approach, stunting programs are not only the responsibility of the government, but also involve various parties to work together in providing continuous solutions. Wihaji added that the state's presence remains important in the implementation of this program.
"So in building a country, not all countries interfere. In this case, it does not mean that the state is not present. The state is present, because the stunting program will continue," he explained.
"The Foster Parent Program Prevents Stunting from involving individuals and corporations as foster parents. We have signed, we have MoU from various stakeholders, to become foster parents. Who is it? Indonesian citizens, as well as corporations," he continued.
These foster parents will support children who come from stunting risk families (KRS). A total of 8.6 million of them are classified as families who are at risk of stunting.
"That's what our children call KRS. What is it? The Family of Risk Stunting of 8.6 million Indonesian families has become KRS," he continued.

"One menu of nutritional intake, two menus of clean water, three menus of green open space and sanitation, four educational menus, or for those without money, colleges please provide education." he said.
