Ed Sheeran Calls New Album Material Done

JAKARTA - Ed Sheeran revealed that his latest studio album is ready to be released. He said the upcoming album was a big music project that was being prepared next.

As for the leak about the new studio album, Sheeran revealed during a recent interview with Variety, when discussing his latest work, "Under the Three", for the musical film That Christmas.

Regarding his new album, the 33-year-old singer said he had completed all the song material. He has also recorded two music videos, and will record two more music videos early next year.

Sheeran said he had prepared big promotions like the previous two albums, Equals (2021) and 'Subtract' (2023).

However, he explained that his new album would be very different from the two albums. Through the upcoming album, he wants to return to a big pop feel.

The Equals and Subtract are clearly completely different recordings, which don't really require big pop stuff, Sheeran said.

"It feels like I'm back in a big pop for the first time in a long time. It's quite exciting," he continued.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran is currently undergoing a break from The Mathematics Tour, which starts in April 2022. He will continue his world tour from mid-January to September 2025.

The process of working on music songs and videos was carried out on the sidelines of The Mathematics Tour, but Sheeran did not inform when his new album would be released to the public.
