Viral, This Man Has The Longest Jempol In The World Whose Size Reaches 14 Cm

JAKARTA - A man from Massachusetts, United States is in the public spotlight, because he has the longest thumbs up in the world. Not long ago, he also showed how to use goods in everyday life, such as cell phones.

Reported by VOI from the Daily Mail page on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Jacob Pina, who is now 25 years old, has gone viral in recent years, because of his 14 cm thumbs. This helped him achieve success on YouTube and gain millions of followers on social media.

Despite this popularity giving him fame in cyberspace, his big thumb also makes daily tasks more difficult, including sending messages and using cell phones. With a length of about 14 cm when fully stretched, Pina's right thumb is only slightly shorter than the six-inch iPhone 16. His left thumb almost has the same length.

Jacob Pina shows this in a video uploaded on his TikTok account. Jacob stretched his thumb to play social media on his cellphone. The video has been viewed nearly 100,000 times. This makes many viewers shocked and confused. Some of them wonder whether the video has been edited or extreme stretching is painful.

"This makes me feel physically uncomfortable," wrote the netizen.

About one in ten Americans have very flexible joints or can stretch, known as the hypermobile joints. However, doctors cannot explain the conditions experienced by Pina. Although hypermobility is often associated with genetic disorders, Pina mentions that she has no underlying health problems regarding the condition of her thumb.

"This is a positive experience of having a long thumbs up. It never stopped me from doing anything, and sharing it on TikTok has earned me a lot of followers who are fans of the thumb from around the world," Pina told DailyMail.com.

Although he is already famous, it is not clear whether Pina holds the record for having the biggest thumbs up in the world.

Pina herself only realized this unique talent when she was still in high school. He kept it for himself until a friend encouraged him to create a TikTok account in 2019 and show off his thumb's abilities.

Since then, he has managed to collect 2.8 million followers and uploaded several videos comparing his thumbs up with other people as well as objects, such as water bottles and video game controllers.

Pina said that although both her thumb could stretch in an unusual way, her right thumb was a little longer. Because her right hand is more dominant, she shows this right thumb more frequently on social media.

"The number of likes I received was extraordinary," said Pina.

Hypermobile joints are known to often be associated with some genetic and autoimmune conditions. One of the most well-known is the Ehlers-Danlos hypermobile type syndrome (HEDS), a genetic condition that affects the body's bond tissue. This gives the organ structure and helps the bone stay intact.

The syndrome was found in one in 5,000 to 20,000 Americans, including celebrities such as Billie Eilish and LenaIA, and caused joints that were too flexible and often accompanied by pain, easily stretched skin, and frequent dislocations.

Marfan syndrome, a similar connective tissue disruption found in one in 5,000 Americans, also causes very flexible joints.

Pina herself has not confirmed whether her thumb's stretching is painful, but she noted several advantages, one of which is that she has never lost in the "fingerwar" game.

"And I'm pretty good at playing Xbox. I'm really good at Rainbow Six Siege. I've even been in the top ten in the world for maybe 10 consecutive seasons," said Pina.

Some of his followers in the latest video expressed their doubts and concerns about the condition of Pina's thumb.

"Is this some kind of medical condition or has this been edited?" wrote the netizen

"You don't understand how confused I am," commented another netizen

One spectator also responded, "Bro, it's like a sword."
