Latest Rumors Of MacBook Pro, Use Of OLED Screen To Loss Of Notch Design

JAKARTA Apple launched the MacBook Pro M4 some time ago and the launch of the next generation is being prepared. According to news circulating, the latest MacBook Pro will get changes on the screen.

research firm Omdia, citing from 9to5mac, revealed that Apple will replace mini-LED screens with OLED screens. However, the device with this latest screen will not be launched next year, but at the earliest of two years.

In line with the screen type changes, Apple will also change the screen design of its device. Some MacBooks have a notch at the top of the screen, similar to the iPhone model, and Apple plans to throw the notch away on the latest MacBook Pro.

Apparently, Apple will switch from notch to hole-punch cutout. This change was made so that the notch does not cut the menu bar as is often the case today. Although simple, some users are often disturbed by the appearance of these pieces.

The latest MacBook Pro is expected to be released in two sizes, namely 14 inches and 15 inches. In the timeline distributed by Omdia, this device will be released between 2026 and 2027. It is not yet known whether this device will use an M5 chip or later.

Apple is also expected to replace the angle that was previously rounded with a notch cut into a rounding angle with a hole cut. This latest design was created to accommodate a web camera into the device.

Unlike the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air is expected to switch to the OLED screen in 2028, but the notch design will be maintained. Apparently, Apple will only change the notch design on the most expensive computer it makes.
