BMKG Urges Residents To Beware Of High Waves In Archipelago Waters
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded residents to be aware of high waves in the waters of an archipelagic area that can reach 2.5 meters. "The BMKG issued an early warning of high waves until 27 November 2023," said the Coordinator for Observation and Information of the BMKG Bitung Maritime Station, Ricky D Aror in Manado, Saturday. The early warning of the wave height between 1.25 meters to 2.5 meters is expected to occur in the eastern Sulawesi Sea, the northern waters of Sangihe Islands Regency and the northern waters of the Talaud Islands Regency. "The wind pattern is dominantly moving from northeast east with speeds ranging from six to 20 knots," he said.
