BI Notes Foreign Capital Flowing To Indonesia Reaches IDR 7.33 Trillion
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded a net foreign capital flow into the domestic financial market of IDR 7.33 trillion from November 13 to November 16, 2023.
Executive Director of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono said the value consisted of foreign capital netized into the State Securities (SBN) market amounting to Rp2.49 trillion, in the stock market Rp0.87 trillion and at the Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) Rp3.97 trillion.
Thus, from January 1 to November 16, 2023 foreign capital entered the State Securities (SBN) market worth IDR 56.21 trillion and IDR 21.02 trillion in SRBI, while foreign capital came out clean from the stock market amounting to IDR 18.09 trillion.
On the other hand, Indonesia's premium investment risk or premium default swaps (CDS) for 5 years amounting to 76.26 basis points (bps) as of November 16, 2023, decreased compared to November 10, 2023, which was recorded at 83.33 bps.

On the other hand, the rupiah exchange rate strengthened to the level of IDR 15,510 per US dollar at the start of trading Friday (17/11), compared to the position at the close of trading Thursday (16/11) IDR 15,540 per US dollar. Meanwhile, the US dollar index weakened to the level of 104.35 at the end of trading Thursday (16/11).
The yield or yield of the 10-year SBN Indonesia tenor fell to the level of 6.67 percent. Likewise with the yield of US bonds aka the 10-year US Treasury Note tenor which fell to a position of 4.436 percent.
BI continues to strengthen coordination with the government and relevant authorities and optimize policy mix strategies to maintain macroeconomic and financial system stability in supporting further economic recovery.
