IKN Continues To Be Eyed By Investors, Jokowi Ready To Groundbreaking 10 Projects 1-3 November
The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would lead the laying of the first stone or groundbreaking of 10 projects at IKN, on November 1-3, 2023.
This activity is a groundbreaking phase two of the activities that were carried out last September.
"The plan is that there will be 10 groundbreaking activities, both from the state budget and the private sector for various facilities at IKN," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, October 30.
Bambang said a number of these facilities include hospitals, malls that are integrated with hotels and apartments, several government offices, and the island of orangutan asylum.
Then, there is VVIP airport and schools consisting of public and international schools.
"The estimated investment value from the groundbreaking this time is IDR 12.5 trillion and so far there have been projects worth IDR 23 trillion that have been groundbreaking in IKN," said Bambang.
According to him, these activities show that it is not only development growth that occurs in IKN, but also the ongoing economic growth and as evidence of high interest and trust from private investors and the government in IKN.
Even so, Bambang said, that the IKN development target is not only in the form of numbers, but also the presence of an ecosystem that is already functioning to be enjoyed.
"This varied field shows that IKN already has basic facilities for people who will move next year," he said.
The Head of OIKN added that one of the groundbreaking activities that will be carried out is the relocation of SDN 020 Sepaku with new concepts and designs on the land given by the village about 400 meters (m) from the initial location.
"That way, community-based development designs already exist in this school, and hopefully this school can be an example for later application in all public schools," he said.
In addition to basic facilities that can be enjoyed by the community, said Bambang, the series of groundbreaking activities will also indicate the construction of adult orangutan asylum at IKN.
In this asylum, later orangutans who are no longer young and cannot be released into the wild will be given treatment.
"This groundbreaking activity is the result of a long process from last year's market poll," said Bambang.
Although the process is quite long, he continued, it shows that the engine of growth or development began to rotate as the government wanted from the start.
"Furthermore, there will be the next groundbreaking activity in December," concluded Bambang.
