Ministry Of PUPR Auctions VVIP Airport Development Projects At IKN Worth IDR 4.28 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has started auctioning off the VVIP Airport construction project in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara. The value of the project package touched around IDR 4.28 trillion.
Quoting from the official LPSE PU website, Tuesday, October 3, the budget for the airport project construction comes from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for Fiscal Year (TA) 2023.
This auction began to open in fulfilling some of the construction needs of the VVIP Airport on the runway side for physical construction packages in North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.
"In accordance with the plan to build the State Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan Province, the Ministry of PUPR through the East Kalimantan National Road Implementation Center builds VVIP Airport with the aim of increasing accessibility and mobility of important guests (VVIP) from and to the IKN area via air transportation," wrote a brief description of the LPSE page of the Ministry of PUPR.

The announcement of this auction has been published since last Friday, September 29, and has a registration limit of up to October 9, 2023. The determination of the auction winner will be announced on October 26, 2023, with the contract signing target being held on November 1, 2023.
For your information, IKN VVIP Airport will be used to serve the interests of government activities at IKN. Built with a VVIP terminal area of 2,000 square meters and a VIP terminal of 5,000 square meters, as well as a runway of 3000 x 485 meters.
This airport is about 25 kilometers (km) from Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan, and about 107 km from Samarinda Airport. The funding for the construction and operation of VVIP Airport is sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
