Heru Budi Affirms That The DKI Provincial Government Will Not Cover Up The Cause Of Elementary School Students In South Jakarta Falling From 4th Floor

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono confirmed that the DKI Provincial Government will not cover the cause of death of a student at SDN 06 Petukangan Utara, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, who fell from the 4th floor of his school building.

"There is nothing (to cover it up)," said Heru when met at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, September 27.

Heru also ensured that his staff would find out the possibility of victims receiving bullying or bullying from their school friends, such as the news circulating.

"Yesterday I asked the Head of the Education Office and the Assistant (Kesejahteraan Rakyat) to check. First, check the communication of his family. Second, check the principal. It is being investigated, processed," he said.

As previously reported, a student at SDN 06 Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta died from falling from the fourth floor of her school building, after previously undergoing medical treatment at Fatmawati Hospital.

Police are still investigating the motive for the student's death. To reveal whether or not the victim deliberately jumped from the 4th floor of the building, the police conducted a crime scene investigation.

As a result, the police found evidence in the form of a seat used by the victim to climb and jump from the 4th floor of his school.

"We emphasize the initial suspicion of jumping because evidence was found in the form of a table. Initially, I thought the table in question was for a lower jump," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro.

From the CCTV footage, the person concerned also jumped from a height. We're just still investigating. We can't conclude later after we explore why the motive for the jump," he continued

The police also saw CCTV footage showing the victim jumping from the floor of his school. Furthermore, there were four witnesses, namely 2 teachers and 2 students who were examined, to find out the victim's motive for the action.

Rumors circulated that the student of SDN 06 was a victim of bullying or bullying. When asked for the truth, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pesanggarahan Police, Iptu Purwaditya, will conduct a more in-depth examination. However, he asked that the information not be received just like that.

"We can't say it like that. Allow us to work first, later if we find anything in the field, we will inform you later," said Purwaditya.

However, the Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Purwosusilo, claimed that there was no element of bullying or bullying for the fall of a 6th grade elementary school student. The news of the bullying suffered by this student circulated on social media and messaging applications after the incident occurred.

"Oh no. If it (due to bullying), no. The children's activities run out in the field and then go to class. So, there's nothing like that (bullying). I'm still with the sports teacher and his class teacher," said Purwosusilo on Tuesday, September 26.
