Different Synthetics And Full Synthetics Oils On Motorcycles: Here's The Retail
YOGYAKARTA - Oli plays a key role in maintaining the performance of the motorcycle engine by providing the necessary lubrication to keep the engine components functioning optimally. One of the most important treatments to maintain the condition of the engine is to replace the engine oil regularly.
There are various types of engine oil available for motorcycles, including oils with semi-synthetic and full synthetic specifications. So, what is the real difference between the two types of oils?
Differences Between Semi-Synthetic And Full Synthetic Oli
According to Banyu Sasongko, the owner of Beprolube, synthetic oil is a type of oil that contains good chemicals for machines. The difference between semi-synthetic and full synthetic oils lies in how large the combination between mineral ingredients and synthetic ingredients in the oil is.
"If the engine oil is fully synthetic, it means it has a higher synthetic content compared to semi-synthetic oil," Banyu said in an interview with reporters in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta.
In percentage terms, oil with full synthetic specifications contains more than 90 percent of synthetic content and only about 10 percent of mineral content. On the other hand, semi-synthetic oil has almost the same synthetic and mineral content, around 50/50.
"Oli, which has a higher synthetic content, is certainly better, because it is more resistant to heat, provides good lubrication, and has a better detergent ability to protect the engine. In addition, full synthetic oil can also be used for longer distances," he explained.
So, after understanding the difference between synthetic and full synthetic oils, you can choose the type of oil that suits your motorcycle's needs and condition. Stay connected to other interesting news on VOI, because it's time to revolutionize the way we get information!
