Minister Of PUPR Reminds Road Quality Supervision And IKN Toll Road Liingkungan
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono instructed the quality of roads and neighborhoods of toll roads in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara to be considered.
There must be someone who distinguishes the IKN toll road from other toll roads. Pay attention to and make sure the quality of roads and the surrounding environment, including plants, must also be different from what has been around so far. So, we have to pay close attention to the design. If on other toll roads, we see trees are only one or two types in one series, if there are three series of varied types here," Basuki said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 20.
He said the IKN toll road construction work was good. However, he instructed to add drainage to the IKN toll road. And also need to accelerate the implementation, so that the work can be completed on time.
"Please add drainage while completing the construction of the road, so that there is no puddle of water when it rains. And please also adjust the work acceleration scheme, so the target is adjusted. It is also regulated the use of construction equipment and the number of workers to maximize it," he said.
The Ministry of PUPR continues to strive to improve connectivity towards the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) area. One of them is by accelerating the construction of the IKN toll road which is the access to the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of IKN.
This toll road is connected to the Balikpapan-Samarinda (Balsam) toll road, thus shortening the distance from Balikpapan to KIPP IKN. From the previous about 2 hours, to only about 30 to 45 minutes.
Director General of Highways Hedy Rahadian explained that the construction of the IKN Segment 3A-3B and 5A toll roads (Karang Joang - KKT Kariangau - Simpang Tempadung - Balang Island Bridge) was carried out first because there were connecting bridges in the work package. So that it can speed up and at the same time facilitate the journey from Balikpapan to KIPP IKN.
"After completion, it will be continued with the construction of the 5B segment, 6A-6B. There are 4 to 6 lanes available, but the time it takes is only about 45 minutes to get to IKN. The Ministry of PUPR wants the journey to IKN to use the toll road in 2024, so the acceleration of work needs to be done," said Hedy.
The construction of the IKN Toll Road which is currently running is located in three sections, namely Section 3A Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau with a length of 13.4 km, Section 3B KKT Kariangau-Ciangung Intersection with a length of 7.3 km, and Section 5A Simpang Tempadung-Jembatan Pulau Balang with a length of 6.7 km. Currently, the progress on the 3A Segment is 22 percent, Section 3B with 36 percent, and Section 5A with 53 percent. These three sections are targeted for completion in mid-2024.
In the work package Section 3A also built the Wain River Bridge with a length of 913 meters on the north side and 916 meters on the south side. Also, the Dirgahayu Bridge in the work package Section 5A. The design of these two bridges was made by artist Nyoman Nuarta.
