Toyota And Suzuki Prepare Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Launch In India
Jakarta - It is no longer a secret that Suzuki and Toyota have entered into close partnerships in India, allowing the two to share a model platform to reduce research costs and develop new vehicles.
The results of this collaboration have resulted in several popular models, such as Ertiga and Rumion, Baleno and Glanza, as well as Invicto and Innova Hycross. Now, this collaboration will give birth to Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, a compact couple-style SUV based on Suzuki Fronx. The car will soon launch on the Indian market.
Reporting from Gaadi Waadi, Monday, September 18, Urban Cruiser Taisor will adopt a design language similar to the front, but with a possible change in the front. On the back, the car will have a design almost similar to the front of the front, but will be equipped with a Toyota logo. Sloping roof lines and LED backlights connected will provide a modern aesthetic display, giving a semi-premium impression.
Entering the cabin, Toyota will most likely not make many changes to the interior design, unless there is a logo change in the steering wheel. Other features such as a 9-inch touch screen floating for infotainment systems, head-up display, 360-degree camera, cruise control, and electronic stability control (ESP) will also remain present.
Urban Cruiser Taisor will be offered with the same two engine options as the front, namely the 1,200 cc engine and the 1,000 cc turbo engine. The 1,000 cc turbo engine is capable of generating a power of 98 dk and a maximum torque of 147 Nm, and will come with two transmission options, namely manual five acceleration and automatic six acceleration.

This car will be a serious competitor in India's compact SUV segment, competing with models such as Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Mahindra XUV300. This segment is one of the most growing segments in India's automotive market, with increasing demand.
