Geely Panda Knight, Ford Bronco's Seconds Of Seres E1

Jakarta - Geely, the Chinese auto giant who is also the parent company of Volvo officially launched Panda Knight, a tiny compact electric car aimed at the Chinese market. This brand presents only one variant of Panda Knight.

According to information from Carnewschina, Saturday, September 16, this model is based on the existing Panda Mini. This electric car (EV) has a compact dimension, with a length of 3,135 mm, a width of 1,565 mm, a height of 1,655 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,015 mm.

Panda Knight is known as the off-road version of Panda Mini, which can be seen from additional accessories such as side ladders, two-colour baggage racks, black wheel eyebrows, and 14-inch aluminum alloy rims.

The front has an attractive design with a large round front light paired with a hanging goal, giving the impression similar to Ford Bronco. Geely also attached two crane hooks to the protective bumper.

Panda Knight's interior has a simpler and minimalist design, with a 9.2-inch instrument panel and an 8-inch center control screen. Double-barreled steering steering wheel with a flat base also has an interesting contrast strip. Geely offers two cabin color choices, namely green and white.

The comfort in the cabin is improved with features such as Bluetooth connectivity, remote control, and remote air conditioning temperature settings. In terms of safety, Panda Knight is equipped with standard features such as the ABS system, electronic brake power distribution, and battery management systems.

Panda Knight is powered by a synchronous magnetic permanent electric motor capable of generating power of 40 dk and a torque of 110 Nm. This compact car uses a rear wheel drive and is powered by a battery with a capacity of 17.03 kWh which gives a range of up to 200 km. For fast charging, Panda Knight is equipped with a DC 22 kW fast charging that can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

Geely offers a wide selection of exterior colors, including white and two green colors. Panda Knight is priced at 53,900 yuan or around Rp113.6 million, however, Geely also provides discounts so that the price becomes 49,900 yuan or around Rp105.1 million.

This model will be an attractive competitor in the electric vehicle market at prices below 200 million along with Seres E1 and Wuling Air EV Lite.
