Bringing A Group Of Artists, Jokowi Tests The Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo conducted a rapid rail operation trial (KA) for the Jakarta-Bandung relationship from KCJB Halim Station, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 13.
President Jokowi arrived at KCJB Halim Station at around 08.50 WIB accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir.
Also, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Hadi Tjahjanto, KCIC President Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama, Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin.
A number of artists and influencers participated in the trial, including Raffi Ahmad, Tsamara, Gading Martin, Cak Lontong, and Yuni Shara.
President Jokowi and his entourage conducted a trial operation of the high-speed train from Halim Station to Padalarang Station with a travel time of about 28 minutes with a speed of up to 351 km/hour.
After that, the trip continued by riding the Fast Train Feeder Train from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station.
Travel from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station takes 20 minutes of travel time.
Thus, from Jakarta to the city center of Bandung took about 50 minutes.
The "soft launching" of the operation of the high-speed train is targeted to start on October 1, 2023. Operations will be carried out in stages starting from 8 train trips in October.
Then, in November it increased to 28 train trips, in December there were 40 train trips, and January 2024 it reached 68 train trips.
