SAR Team Searches For 2 Missing Residents In Kerinci Forest
JAMBI - Kerinci SAR Team to look for two residents of Semurup who went missing in the forest of Masgo Village, Kerinci, while looking for firewood in the forest.
"The Kerinci SAR team is currently looking for the two missing people in the forest of Masgo Village, Kerinci Regency, Jambi, while looking for firewood," Head of Basarnas Jambi Kornelis was quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 6.
The two residents who went missing in Kerinci forest were named Bustami (56) and Taherman (60). Both are residents of Selurup who reportedly disappeared while looking for firewood in the Masgo Forest, Kerinci Regency, last Sunday (3/9) at around 19.00 WIB.
Kornelis said the Jambi Basarnas received information from the victim's family on Monday (4/9) at 08.30 WIB, which stated that two Semurup residents disappeared in the Masgo forest while looking for firewood.
After receiving this information, the Kerinci SAR Post team moved to the location with equipment such as rescue trucks, jungle rescue equipment, and evacuation equipment and navigation.

The Kerinci SAR Post Team then immediately coordinated with other Joint SAR Teams such as the TNI, Polres, BPBD Kerinci and the community to conduct searches.
"Until today, the joint SAR team is still searching for the two missing people in Kerinci forest," said Kornelis.
The Joint SAR team is conducting a search with an area radius of about three kilometers from the location of the garden where they are looking for firewood.
