TANGERANG Ahead of the commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the bamboo betung seller who is usually used for the pinang massage competition, received many orders.

Fajri (49), one of the bamboo sellers in the Sipon Area, Cipondoh, Tangerang City, said that the bamboo order in its place increased by 50 percent this August. In fact, he said, the profit earned reached IDR 50 million.

Fajri said, the betung bamboo price for betung climbing has not increased, which is Rp. 500 thousand. Buyers order usually two weeks before the D day.

"But usually, you can still add orders later, when you are close (close to) day H," he said.

Fajri also admitted that making bamboo climbing ready for use is not easy. The level of difficulty exists during the process of smoothing the bamboo surface.

"When bamboo is smoothed, if it is finished, we have to clean the bamboo first, be sanded so that it is slippery, continue to make the circle above it," he said.
