Marijuana Growers In South Tangerang Arrested By Police
JAKARTA - Police arrested Rohim alias Wellqi (38) for planting two cannabis trees at his home in Pamulang, South Tangerang. The cannabis plant, which is estimated to be 6 months old, was planted in a bluish-white pot.
Kapolresta Depok Kombes Azis Andiansyah said Rohim was arrested based on the development of suspect Aga in the methamphetamine case. Later, it was discovered that the development of the forbidden item was obtained from Muchtar.
From Aga's arrest, the police found a shabu-shabu buyer, namely Rohim. Rohim was arrested and when his house was ransacked, two cannabis trees were found.
From the results of the examination, Rohim had planted marijuana dozens of times. However, this is the first time that marijuana can thrive only with makeshift tools.
"The suspect's confession, he used himself, has tried to grow the marijuana for about 20 times. The initial experiment failed and it was successful," said Azis.
The police will intensively examine suspects who are users of various types of narcotics. Because, there are allegations, Rohim planted cannabis trees to be traded or distributed.
"He admits to being consumed by himself, but the activity he cultivates up to dozens of times has the potential to trade," said Azis.
For everything they did, Rohim and two other suspects had to languish behind bars. They are charged under Article 111 of Law No. 35 of 2009 with the threat of a minimum sentence of 4 years in prison and a maximum of 12 years in prison.
