Jokowi Glad That The Price Of Food Needs In Bululawang Market In Malang Is Very Cheap

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo said the price of a number of food commodities at Bululawang Market, Malang Regency, East Java, was very cheap so that inflation was controlled in the district which was the center for vegetable production.

"This morning I also want to check prices such as prices in other markets, in Malang Regency, I see the prices here are very good, very good," said Jokowi after visiting Bulawang Market, Malang Regency, quoted by ANTARA, East Java, Monday 24 July.

President Jokowi gave an example of the cheap food price, around Rp. 34 thousand per kilogram, about Rp. 26 thousand per kilogram.

Jokowi assessed that the controlled food prices in Buululawang Market are because Malang Regency is a production center for several food commodities.

Therefore, he believes that the supply of food commodities in Malang Regency is running well and inflation is maintained.

"It's very cheap here, I think it's good because most of the production is in Malang Regency. For inflation, it means that it's under control here, supply is good," he said.

The review of Buululawang Market, Malang Regency, is the agenda for Jokowi's first working visit to East Java on Monday. After that, Jokowi is scheduled to review the production of the main weapon system (alutsista) equipment at the PT Pindad Persero Office.

From Malang Regency, President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will head to Korem 083 Field, Malang City to review the people's market.

During the review at Buululawang Market, it was seen accompanying the President, namely Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
