Panji Gumilang's Lawsuit To Mahfud MD Was Dismissed Decently Rejected By The Court
Member of Commission VIII DPR Yandri Susanto assessed that the civil lawsuit filed by the Head of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School Panji Gumilang against Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD deserves to be rejected by the Central Jakarta District Court (PN).
"In my opinion, the court deserves to reject Panji Gumilang's lawsuit against Mr. Mahfud, it deserves to be rejected, it's his lawsuit," Yandri said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 21.
On the other hand, Yandri believes Mahfud as the defendant will win at the court. "Yes, win, God willing, win," he said.
The deputy chairman of the MPR said that the public should be grateful to Mahfud MD in dealing with the Al Zaytun polemic.
"In fact, we have to thank Pak Mahfud for unraveling the Al Zaytun issue which caused a public stir," he said.
According to him, Mahfud MD should not be afraid to face the lawsuit filed by Panji Gumilang.
"Yes, just face it, take it easy with Mr. Mahfud,ladeni, served," he said.
Because, he believes that what Mahfud MD said has a strong foundation.
"Don't worry, don't be afraid, don't be afraid, and I believe what Mr. Mahfud said is true," he said.

Based on the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) page of the Central Jakarta District Court, Panji Gumilang's lawsuit against Mahfud MD was filed with the Central Jakarta District Court with Case Number 445/Pdt.G/2023/PN Jkt.Pst.
The lawsuit was filed on Monday (17/7) with the classification of cases of unlawful acts.
Previously, Mahfud MD revealed that Panji Gumilang was suspected of money laundering (TPPU) as the leader of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.
Mahfud suspects that Panji Gumilang's assets were misused by the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School as the leader of the Islamic boarding school located in Indramayu, West Java.
Some of the assets suspected of being misused include land belonging to Ponpes Al Zaytun whose ownership certificates are in the name of Panji Gumilang and his family.
