Taken By PSG From Bayern Munich, Lucas Hernandez's Transfer Value Reaches IDR 831 Billion
JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) officially announced the transfer of Lucas Hernandez from German club Bayern Munich, Sunday, July 9.
"Pary Saint-Germain is pleased to announce Lucas Hernandez's transfer. The French national team defender signed a five-year contract with the club," PSG wrote on the official English website, quoted from Antara, Sunday, July 9.
According to a report by renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG spent 48 to 50 million euros (around Rp798 to 831 billion) to secure the services of the 27-year-old player.
In his introduction event, Hernandez expressed his happiness after finally becoming a PSG player.
"I am very happy! I have wanted to join PSG for a long time, and it has finally come true. This is a very special day for me and I am happy to be here," he said.
The brother of AC Milan player Theo Hernandez is PSG's fifth new player in the transfer market this summer after Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte, and Lee Kang-in.
Lucas Hernandez is a graduate of Atletico Madrid's academy and broke into the first team in the 2014/15 season. Since then he has appeared in 110 games and scored one goal with the Spanish club.
Together with Atletico, he won the 2017/18 Europa League trophy, UEFA Super Cup in 2018.

Hernandez was then brought in by Bayern Munich in July 2019 and made a total of 107 appearances and scored twice for four seasons against the Bavarian club.
He won Bundesliga trophies every season since joining Atletico, won the 2019/20 DFB-Pocal trophy, 2020 and 2022 DFL Supercups, 2019/20 Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and 2020 Club World Cup.
While at international level, Hernandez has 33 times defended the French national team and brought his country to win the 2019 World Cup and 2020/21 UEFA Nations League.
