Police Arrest Again Perpetrators Of Student Beatings To Death In Malang
Malang Resort Police (Polres) arrested another perpetrator in a beating that caused a student at a private university in Malang City, East Java, with the initials KM to die.
Malang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Wahyu Rizki Saputro said suspect E was arrested by joint TNI-Polri officers in the border area, when he was about to leave Indonesian territory.
"Another suspect has been arrested, at the border. This suspect wants to flee abroad, was arrested by joint TNI-Polri personnel for the suspect with the initials E," Wahyu said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 4.
Wahyu explained that overall, currently the Malang Police have arrested two perpetrators of the beating that caused KM to die. Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators are still in the process of being chased by officers.
According to him, two other actors who are currently being chased by officers are suspected to be outside the Malang Regency, East Java. The four perpetrators in the incident had a major role in the case of the beating which resulted in KM's death.
"They are suspected of being the perpetrators who have a major role in beating up to the point of making the victims dead. They are thought to have left the Malang area," he said.
Previously, the Malang Police Satreskrim team arrested BS, who was the alleged perpetrator of the beating, causing the victim to die. The perpetrators were arrested on the border of Gresik and Mojokerto, East Java, on Friday (30/6).

For information, in the early hours of Sunday (25/6), KM reportedly died behind the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Karangploso District, Malang Regency. The victim was allegedly beaten by a number of his colleagues after attending the graduation party.
The beating that caused the victim to die also triggered a sweeping in the Tlogomas Village area, Lowokwaru District, Malang City on Sunday night. The sweeping action was stopped by the police.
Malang Police have examined more than 30 witnesses such as fellow victims, a number of committees, as well as cafe owners and employees in the incident after the graduation party at a cafe in the Tegalgondo Village area.
