DKI Provincial Government Tests TransJakarta Bus Route Kalideres-Soekarno Hatta Airport Starting July 4

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency conducted a TransJakarta bus trial on the Kalideres-Bandara Soekarno Hatta route (Soetta) starting July 4, 2023. "It is planned (TransJakarta trial) on July 4 from Kalideres to Soetta Airport. We will carry out the trial at 07.30 WIB (for a month)," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday 29 June. During the trial, Syafrin said, bus passengers are not subject to tariffs (free). Buses tested as much as 4-5 buses. This airport route departs from Kalideres Terminal, West Jakarta, to Kargo Terminal and Angkasa Pura II Office in Tangerang, Banten. "There is a plan for two service times, first at 06.00 WIB to 09.00 WIB. Then the second at 18.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB," said Syafrin. The travel time from Kalideres to Soetta Airport is estimated to be a maximum of 45 minutes for one trip so that it will take a maximum of 90 minutes to go home. "Of course, there will be several bus stops that we prepare on the track. Because they do not enter the toll. The TransJakarta type will use a 'lower deck' (lower deck)," said Syafrin. It is hoped that with the existence of this TransJakarta bus trial, his party will get a complete picture covering the characteristics of passenger travel to operational. "Then the operational characteristics, the amount of tariffing, will be determined. While the trial will be implemented for 20 minutes. Later, the implementation will be 10 minutes," said Syafrin.

Previously, the Head of Kalideres Terminal, Revi Zulkarnaen, said that the time span for arrivals between one bus and the other (headway) was determined to be 20 minutes. "So that there is no vacuum in the fleet, at the terminal, a schedule needs to be made between the first, second and third," he said.

For the capacity of one bus, according to Revi, it can accommodate as many as 60-80 people. "So the headway between the first, second and third fleets is arranged for 20 minutes," said Revi. Thus, said Revi, there will be no accumulation of departures or arrivals at the airport. "So that later people who are late will still receive services from TransJakarta," he said.
