Unand FISIP Lecturer: Voters In West Sumatra Are Relatively Rational To Choose Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates
Political observer from Andalas University (Unand) Aidinil Zetra said voters (constituents) in West Sumatra (West Sumatra) are relatively rational in determining the presidential candidate pair (candidate) and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in the 2024 election.
"This video is one of the areas where the character of voters is relatively rational," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.
This means, continued Aidinil, people in West Sumatra are not easily influenced by traditional factors such as regional similarities to psychological elections.
As a rational voter, said Aidinil, the public in West Sumatra will prioritize three indicators called takeh, tageh, and figures. This does not only apply during the presidential election (pilpres), but also during the election of the nagari guardian, regent/mayor and governor.
The lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Unand explained that from the aspect of figures, people in Ranah Minang will look at the character, track record, ideas submitted, developments that have been carried out to the insights of presidential and vice presidential candidates on a national and global scale.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
Second, constituents in West Sumatra will measure the aspects of someone seen from the way the presidential and vice presidential candidates make decisions, firmness, and courage for the policies taken. Third, voters in West Sumatra will measure the aspects of a candidate leader from the way he solves a problem, not complicated, character and authoritative.
"These three indicators apply generally to West Sumatra, especially during regional head elections," he said.
Of the three names predicted to run in the 2024 presidential election, namely Anies Baswedan, Prabowo Subianto, and Ganjar Pranowo, Adidinil assessed the aspects, tageh, and figures attached to one of the names.
