Police Investigate The Discovery Of A Body Dressed In A Cyclist At The Bottom Of The Cisolok Sukabumi Gorge
SUKABUMI - Cisolok Police, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, investigated the case of the discovery of an unknown man's body with a rotting condition at the bottom of a ravine in Pasir Randu Village.
"The victim's body was first discovered by an ant nest seeker in the vicinity of a forest far from residential areas in RT 02/08, Pasirbaru Village, Cisolok District," said Cisolok Police Chief AKP Aguk Khusaini as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, June 17.
According to information gathered from the police, the body of the man is thought to be around 50 years old. When found the man was wearing blue pants wearing a brown shirt.
The body of the victim, who is no longer recognized, was first discovered by an ant nest seeker for bird feed named Pepen. At that time, Pepen was about to take a bamboo branch and smell an unpleasant odor around a bamboo tree.
It would be surprising, when Pepen looked at the bottom of the ravine which had a depth of about three meters, there was a man's body in a pathetic condition, and it was even difficult to identify. The discovery of the body was immediately reported to local residents and the police.
Not long after, the Cisolok Police officers and volunteers arrived at the location and immediately evacuated the body of the unknown man and were then taken to the Palabuhanratu Hospital for a post-mortem.
Aguk added that the team had difficulty evacuating the victim's body because it was on the bottom cliff of the ravine. In addition, the condition of the bodies that had been damaged by the evacuation officers had to be careful when putting the bodies in a body bag.
"We are still investigating this case to reveal the cause of death of the victim because the location where this man's body was found is far from settlements and rarely passed by residents. Judging from his condition, the victim is estimated to have died in more than a week," he added.
Meanwhile, a resident around Andrian Sopyan (32) said that when he received information on the discovery of the body in the ravine, he was on Jalan Cagak Mak Erot, which was not far from the location of the discovery. Receiving this information, he immediately contacted the police.
When found the position of the body was supine and wearing cycling sports clothes. He suspected that the victim was not a local resident because no community felt that they had lost their family and did not recognize him.
